I knew that I was going to love working with these two the minute I opened their first email. Melissa described their wedding day as ‘our perfect day in town so that's a visit to the gallery followed by a couple of drinks along the way before dinner in The Green Hen restaurant.’ That sounds like a dream day for me too.

This was a very intimate, relaxed, and low key affair but also a very stylish one. They had 17 guests in total and used some of the most beautiful and iconic venues in the city. They stayed and got ready in The Mont Hotel, close to Merrion Square. This place is super cool with the most incredibly stylish interior and great atmosphere, It would be a great wedding venue itself. We had our photo session in the morning in gorgeous Merrion Square incorporating the beautiful Georgian street around this area. Being relaxed and unconventional they went back to The Mont where all of the guests were waiting to meet them and have a drink before the ceremony. The ceremony was spectacularly special in the National Gallery of Ireland. Lots of time was spent chilling in the Gallery before we all strolled down to one of Dublin's most loved and Iconic pubs, Neary’s. Some very cozy pints were had before dinner in The Green Hen.

This was one of the loveliest wedding days I have been part of. I think because it was so intimate I really felt part of it and loved every minute. There is so much to be said for small weddings, the stress levels are lower and the tone is calm and this trickles down to every person involved. Small weddings stand out and become very memorable for this very reason.

Melissa and David, thanks for being creative and so much fun on the shoot. Thanks for choosing me. Thanks for a very memorable day. Perhaps we’ll see you again in one of these lovely haunts.
